Douglas Brown is a native to Middle Tennesse. Born and raised in Smyrna, he graduated from Central Magnet School in 2015, and from MTSU in 2023 with a degree in Business administration. 

Throughout his primary education, Doug played trombone, participating in Tennessee's Mid-State honor bands, and several solo & ensemble competitions. Working full time and attending MTSU did not afford him the time to participate in any musical groups, but after graduating he found a home with the Tennessee Valley Winds. In 2024, after a year of performing with the group, there was an opportunity to put his degree to work, and he was elected to serve as President.

Doug works as a financial advisor, and still lives in his hometown of Smyrna. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Emily, and his Corgi, Newman.
